How this works

This page is statically hosted on GitHub Pages. When you click Generate, your browser calls three public, key-free APIs directly — no server involved (all send Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *): the Statistics Canada WDS, CMHC's Rental Market Survey (republished as StatCan cubes), and the Bank of Canada Valet API. The same logic runs headless in the repo's Node orchestrator and MCP server.

Only the optional email delivery and community gallery use a backend — a small Cloudflare Worker + Neon database. Generating and reading briefs never touches a server.

Household leverage and CPI are national; rent and vacancy are city-specific. The demographic and product framing is qualitative segment analysis, not cohort micro-data — see the brief's methodology footer. Reports empirical trends only: no rate forecasts, no regulatory advice.
